Have you ever thought about paddle boarding on a glacier??? That’s exactly how Joel and Robin chose to finish up their adventure in Alaska – and adventure for the two of them in a remote part of the wilderness. Choose to paddleboard on a glacier was a no brainer for them. They met and got married in the mountains. Many of their adventures involve ski trips to ranges they’ve never been to before. When they found out about paddle boarding on a glacier, another favorite sport of theirs, they were excited about the opportunity. The best bonus part? You have to helicopter out to reach this beautiful location!

Imagine taking a helicopter ride out to an insane landscape, zipping up a dry suit, and paddleboarding among ice slot canyons and in glacial pools. It’s a mind blowing experience that will take your breathe away.

The pilots over at Outbound Heli took us on an epic flight, while a guide from NOVA geared up the couple and kept them safe out on the ice. The two paddled up a waterway carved by flowing glacier water to a huge glacier pool. After enjoying all the views, we hiked over to another waterway and took the ride down back to the helicopter.

Their smiles after paddling said it all. They had so much fun!!! After hiking back we set up a lil picnic + champagne to have a much needed snack and celebration. Yay Alaska! On our flight back we saw moose, sheep, and even a black bear momma and two cubs! It was an epic adventure.
